Tara specializes in customizing shoes and other items to create wearable art that’s as unique as you. This trending artform allows people to express their individuality and personal style. With a background in street painting and realism, Tara brings a unique perspective to customization, incorporating realistic and interactive elements found in traditional street painting and 3D art.
From updating the color way, to hand-painted illustrations; or intricate detailing to brain-teasing 3D effects, Tara collaborates with clients to bring their vision to life. The Process
1 | Discovery & Design Deposit
Review all of the information on this page, then submit a request with your information here. Please include a detailed description of what you are looking to have made, on what kind of shoe or item, including any links to reference photos if you have them. I'll connect with you via phone, email or both to understand your needs and design ideas. It's perfectly fine if you're not sure what you like and can mention that in your request. Please note that all submissions are requests and I cannot accept all projects. To begin the design work, a non-refundable $50 deposit is required. This deposit is applied to your final payment.
2 | Design
Leveraging what we discussed in the Discovery phase, I'll put together a design mock-up for you to approve. We will also agree upon the base shoe or item to complete the design on. Any changes after this point may result in additional fees. If this is the case, these will be communicated to you in advance.
3 | Contract & Payment (Order Shoes)
You will receive a contract and invoice based on your request and approved design. If everything looks good, you sign the contract and complete your payment. Please note, shipping costs will be estimated and included in your payment. If costs are higher than originally estimated, you will be notified prior to receiving your shoes to complete the payment.
If you are purchasing your own shoes, you can order your shoes at this time and ship them to the address provided. All shoes or items must be shipped with a tracking number and be in new condition (unworn). If i is determined that I will be ordering the shoes/item, I will order them once the initial payment is received.
4 | Customize
I'll create your shoe/item! You may receive updates or sneak peeks of the work on my social media, but cannot guarantee this for every order. Please feel free to reach out with any questions during this time.
5 | Get Your Shoes (Shipping)
Once I finish your shoes/item, I will contact you to see if you would like a photo of them to review before shipping. If you would prefer to be surprised, that's OK too. In the off chance shipping costs are higher than what was initially provided in your invoice and payment, you'll be notified to complete the remaining payment.

Pricing
On average, custom shoes in the marketplace can cost between $400–$2,000+. Every design is unique and therefore pricing is customized for each request. Pricing may or may not include the base shoe depending on what is decided.
Minimum charge (not including shoes) = $300
A non-refundable $100 design deposit is required to begin design work. Full payment (including shipping) is required to begin painting or any customizing.
Customs FAQs
What types of items can be customized?
A wide range of items can be customized, including shoes, clothing, accessories, sports equipment, and personal belongings. I can typically work on leather and most types of fabric. If you have a customization request, let's discuss your ideas to see how we can personalize something to reflect your unique identity and style.
What customization options are available?
The options are truly endless. I offer a variety of customization options, including custom designs, color schemes, patterns, graphics, logos, and personalization such as initials or names. I'll work closely with you to bring your vision to life, or help you create a design from scratch if you're not sure what you want.
Can I provide my own shoes/item for customization or do I need to purchase it from you?
Clients have the flexibility to provide their own shoes/item for customization or I can purchase them for you. All items must be in new and unworn condition. If client is ordering the shoes/items, they are responsible for shipping to the address provided.
How long does it take to complete?
The timeline depends on factors such as the complexity of the design and current project queue. We prefer to have a 6-8 week lead team on all requests, but can work with you if an expedited timeline is needed. We do our best to provide clients with an accurate timeframe for completion and communicate to ensure transparency and manage expectations.
Do you accept bulk orders or multiple requests?
Yes. I can accept requests for multiple or bulk orders (e.g., corporate gifting, events, weddings, bachelor/ette parties, teams, etc.). In this case however, additional lead time is needed. An ideal lead time is a minimum of 3 months prior to the event. Provide as much information (including quantities) in your request and we can discuss what is possible.
Will the paint wash off?
No. I only use the highest quality materials and take detailed steps to prepare the shoes. Once the paint and finish are applied, they are scratch, scuff and water resistant. However, please keep in mind this is wearable art and ultimately how long they last is up to the owner and care they take with them.
What materials are used for customization?
I use a variety of materials for customization depending on the item I'm customizing. This includes a variety of high quality acrylic paints made for leather, rubber, fabric or other materials. I only use the highest quality materials for preparation, application, and finishing to ensure your customs look perfect.
Can I request revisions or modifications to the design?
Yes, clients can request revisions or modifications to the design during the design process. We value client input and strive to accommodate your preferences to ensure that the final product aligns with your vision and expectations. Minor revisions are typically included in the design deposit, while significant changes may incur additional charges. Additionally, changes after the design has been agreed upon may incur additional charges.
Can I request a design you've previously created?
Sometimes. In some cases, clients will pay to have a 1-of-1 custom, in which case I would not re-create. If there were elements from that design you liked however, we can create a different design using some of those same elements or those elements for inspiration of a new design. If it's not a 1-of-1, there may be a situation I can re-create a previously created shoe. Just reach out and ask and I'd be happy to let you know.
What shoe size do I get?
Shoe and clothing brand sizing can differ greatly, even within the same brand. You are responsible for ensuring you order or request (if I'm ordering) the correct shoe size. Once shoes have been ordered in your requested size(s), there are no cancellations or changes available.
What if my package doesn't arrive?
Additionally, I am not responsible for packages once they have been delivered to the post office or carrier. Please be sure to monitor your tracking number and shipment. In the off chance an issue arises with the carrier, we can work together with the carrier to find an appropriate solution for all parties.
Do you offer any warranties or guarantees?
We stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our work and offer assurances of satisfaction to our clients. Keep in mind these will hold up well to normal wear and tear (e.g., walking, shopping, etc.), but they are not indestructible. As this is wearable art, we do not offer formal warranties, however we are committed to addressing any issues or concerns that may arise after the completion of the customization to ensure that clients are completely satisfied with their purchase.
Do you offer returns or refunds?
All orders for customs are unique, handcrafted, and made to order artwork and are therefore final sale. Please ensure you know and have selected the correct shoe brand, style, and size before placing your order. I do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges on custom orders.
